OUTREACH WORK, DAY CENTERS
Our outreach teams seek roofless people living in districts 6, 13 and in the territory of City Park and Margaret-island. Besides protecting rough sleepers from any direct threat to life, outreach work aims to help people into institutional services. Outreach staff keeps permanent contact with rough sleepers in their sleeping spot and in the office as well during opening hours.
Day centers provide basic services primarily for rough sleepers and people staying at night shelters; these are basic services that other people can use in their homes: resting, taking a shower, washing, eating and socializing. Besides providing the above mentioned services, social workers of day centers put a special emphasis on individual motivational discussions, dealing with official issues, organizing free-time activities and activation programs.
In addition to basic services of the day center, special day centers also run Job-seekers’ and Housing Offices. Specialized and experiences social workers provide assistance in these fields that are crucial for the social integration of homeless people.
VÁCI DAY CENTER

The facility is located in a beautiful, green neighbor- hood on the bank of the Danube. It is accessible with a wheelchair. The Day Center provides basic services, a possibility to wash, have a shower, cook, warm food and take part in community life (for ex- ample sport activities). During the winter season, visitors are welcomed by social workers with a cup of hot tea.

In addition to the basic services of the day center, the Special Day Center also runs Job-seekers’ and Customer Service Offices for homeless people. During the winter season the day center is open at weekends as well.

The Client Service Office helps homeless people manage official issues (such as replacing missing documents, obtaining social benefit, getting free medication). Computers with Internet access and telephones are available for our users.

The Álláskereső Iroda assists clients in finding a job and issues related to employment by providing information, advice, lists of job advertisements, ad- vertisement newspapers, possibility to make phone calls and use computers with Internet access.

ASZÓDI DAY CENTER

Aszódi Day Center provides basic services for rough sleepers, people living in surrounding forests or staying at Aszódi Night Shelter.

Táblás Day Center has a capacity of 70 places, but it has a low turnover and a familiar atmosphere at the same time. Most visitors are rough sleepers from the neighborhood. It provides basic services. There is also a hostel operating in the same building.
